‘Tree Song’ is a musical project using song, music and public installation to explore and celebrate the topic of trees. Building on the success of ‘Tree Song Trail 2021’ in the Urban Tree Festival, Phoebe Coco will be in residence in Islington green spaces and nature reserves to write and record 8 site specific vocal songs which will be connected in an interactive tree trail walk partnered with TiCL, the official tree trail app. The project will work with voices in local primary schools, community
groups and choirs to write and record songs in the collection to be shared in the tree trail. It will also work with an all female multigenerational family voice group to record songs written for the tree song trail.
There will also be a series of studio music releases under the title track ‘Tree Song’ coming out later this year on all streaming platforms.
